quick tip: halloween mummy dogs

What’s more fun than creating the perfect food for you’re next holiday get together.

Nothing, at least in my opinion.

I love making ghost bananas and tangerine pumpkins. And I loved making a halloween themed lunch when my kiddos took lunches to school.

And now? We’re obsessed with mummy dogs for dinner on halloween. What’s so great about this, is that my non-hot dog eating kiddo discovered that while she thought she didn’t like hot dogs, it was the buns she didn’t like.

Wrap those hotdogs in puff pastry - pigs in a blanket anyone? - and she’s all over it.

Ingredients:

hot dogs

puff pastry sheets, thawed according to directions

black olives, sliced

mozzarella sticks, sliced

Directions:

Slice puff pastry into thin strips.

Wrap dogs with strips to approximate mummy bandages.

Cook according to puff pastry instructions, until pastry is golden brown.

Add mozzarella slices and olive sliced for big eyes.

Serve with mustard and ketchup for dipping.
