Love the taste of onions in salad- but don’t want quite the bite?

An hour or two before serving, slice your onions, and add them to a bowl of water, with a splash of vinegar. I’ve used both white vinegar, white wine vinegar, and red wine vinegar… any vinegar will do. It’s just a splash, so use what you’ve got.

That’s it. It will take the bite out of the onions, but leave them crisp and full of flavor.
