holiday rice krispies

If you know me, even a little bit, you know that I am a sucker for rice krispie treats. I am obsessed. Can’t stop, won’t stop eating them by the panful.

Seriously, love them.

These are my holiday version, full of candy cane goodness and chocolate covered pretzels, and equally as obsession worthy.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup salted butter

20 oz jumbo marshmallows

9 cups rice krispie cereal

1/2 cup chopped candy cane

1 cup chopped chocolate covered pretzels

Directions:

Butter a 9 x 11 inch baking dish.

In a large saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter.

Add marshmallows, stirring continuously to prevent burning, until melted.

Once butter and marshmallows have been melted and combined, remove pan from heat.

Stir in rice krispies, candy cane and pretzel pieces.

Once combined, pour mixture into prepared pan, and spread out evenly.

Let cool before serving.
