loaded layered taco salad

I love the look of a layered salad. Especially when it’s loaded with all sorts of goodies.

This taco salad version is no exception.

It’s everything you love about a taco, and even a little extra.

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp salt

1 Tbsp trader joe’s onion salt

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

2 Tbsp evoo

1 onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 lbs ground beef

1 head of iceburg lettuce, core removed, and shredded

1 large tomato diced

2 cups of cooked peas

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

avy’s classic guac

restaurant style salsa

sour cream

handful of black olives, sliced

handful of corn chips

Directions:

Whisk together salt, onion salt, paprika, cumin, and pepper. Set spice blend aside.

Bring evoo to shimmering in large pan.

Add onions, and sauté about 5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic. Sauté another minute.

Add in ground beef, and spice blend. Stir to combine.

Cook over medium heat until beef is browned.

Layer salad ingredients in a large glass bowl, as follows. Lettuce, tomatoes, peas, beef, and cheddar cheese.

Top with a large scoop each of salsa, guac, and sour cream.

Sprinkle with olives and corn chips.
