What’s better than traditional lasagna?
Taking all those luxurious lasagna components and turning them into a pizza.
You get all the comforting flavors you love in a lasagna, with out all the work, and in a handheld bite of goodness.
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp evoo
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground italian pork sausage
22 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
1 egg
handful basil leaves, sliced
1/2 tsp salt
pizza dough, homemade or store bought
marinara sauce
shredded mozzarella
2 scallions, sliced on a bias
Directions:
Heat 1 Tbsp evoo in a sauce pan on medium high heat until shimmering. Add ground beef. Cook until browned. Remove from pan and set on paper towels to drain.
Add 1 Tbsp evoo to the pan. Once shimmering add sausage. Cook until browned. Remove from pan and set on paper towels to drain.
Mix together ricotta, egg, basil, and salt. Set aside.
Pre-heat pizza girl oven for 10 minutes at 5 and 5.
Stretch out dough to form a circular crust.
Spoon marinara sauce over the crust.
Scatter with beef and sausage.
Drop spoonfuls of ricotta mixture all around the crust.
Spread shredded mozzarella over the top.
Top with sliced scallions.
Turn top heat to a 3.
Transfer to pizza oven. Close and cook for 4 - 6 minutes. Until cheese starts turning golden brown.
Remove from oven, slice and serve.
