miso marinated halibut

I love using miso as a marinade. It imparts such great flavor to your dish. The flavor’s the bomb. The texture’s the bomb. And it makes for a super simple, yet elevated main.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup mirin

1/3 cup sake

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup white miso

2 -3 lbs halibut, cut into portions

Directions:

Whisk together mirin, sake, sugar, and miso.

Place fish in mixture and marinate 6 - 8 hours in fridge.

Preheat oven to broil.

Using a broiler pan, or foil lined oven pan, place marinated fish down.

Broil for about 10 minutes; check to make sure the fish browns, but doesn’t burn.
