shogun style griddled fried rice

One of the best things about our current grill, is it’s attached griddle. For those perfect smash burgers, breakfast at dinner, or when it’s so dang hot inside you don’t want to pull out a pan, wok, or anything else.

Now, don’t get me wrong, you can make this shogun fried rice inside, on an indoor griddle, wok, or pan, but it’s kinda fun to take shogun night to the outdoors.

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp butters

4 scallions, sliced

1 large carrot, minced

6 cups, cooked rice

2 eggs

3oz Tbsp soy sauce

3 Tbsp butter

3 cloves of garlic, minced

Directions:

Melt 2 Tbsp butter on griddle, over medium high heat. Add scallions and carrots.

Sautee until just tender. Add cooked rice and combine.

Create a well in the middle of the rice, vegetable mixture. Pour eggs into the well, and whisk until eggs are scrambled, then stir to combine with rice mixture.

Add butter, garlic, and soy sauce. Stir to combine.

Let sit for a while, to crisp up rice, flipping occasionally.
