I love avocados. Living in CA we have access to them all the time (I even have a tree in my backyard), they are a key component in southern California cooking, and they never fail to add depth and flavor to any dish. Eat them plain, with lemon, a dash of salt, or mixed up with other greats to make a guac... it's a super food. To that end? We eat guacamole. A. Lot.
2 tender avocados (you don't want them too soft, or they will have brown spots)
1 Vine-Ripened Tomato, diced
1/2 a white onion, minced
Juice of one lime
2 drops of Tobasco
1 pinch of garlic powder
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Using a fork, mash until combined. This guacamole should be chunky, and not smooth.
