spicy yellowtail with ponzu sauce

Just another fun addition for at home sushi night.

It’s super simple, relies on nothing more than having a reliable fishmonger with fresh sashimi grade fish available, some sliced jalapeños, and my ponzu sauce.

Kid and parent friendly around here.

Ingredients:

1/4 lb sashimi grade yellowtail, thinly sliced

1 jalapeño, thinly sliced

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup mirin

1/4 cup rice wine vinegar

juice of 1 orange

juice of 1 lemon

Directions:

In a bowl, whisk together soy, mirin, vinegar, and citrus juices until combine.

Place slices of yellow tail on plate, and top each with a jalapeño slice. Pour just enough ponzu sauce on plate to barely cover the bottom.

Serve immediately.
