snickerdoodles

Stop me if I’m wrong, but the snickerdoodle is quite possibly the world’s best cookie.

While people may bicker over oatmeal raisin, and chocolate chip with nuts or no nuts, nobody puts snickerdoodles in the corner.

Just saying.

Ingredients:

1 cup salted butter, softened

1 1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

2 3/4 cup flour

2 tsp cream of tartar

1 tsp baking soda

4 Tbsp brown sugar

2 Tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375.

Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar.

Add eggs in, one at a time, mixing after each.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, tartar, and baking soda.

Slowly add dry ingredients to wet, and mix.

In a small bowl mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.

Using a small cookie scoop, measure out equal sized balls.

Roll balls in cinnamon sugar mixture to coat. Place on baking sheets.

Bake for 9 minutes.
