oyster shooter

Got to love an oyster shooter. Raw oysters? Check. Bloody mary flavors? Check. Tequila? Check, check.

Or at least this is what I like my shooters to be made of.

And, topped with a diced cucumber salad to boot.

It’s pretty much the best start to any holiday meal, or entertaining get together you can have.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup v8 juice

1/2 cup tequila (I like reposado for this dish)

2 1/2 tsp horseradish

1/2 tsp celery salt

1/2 tsp worcestershire

juice of 1/4 lemon

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp dijon

1/2 tsp honey

1 1/2 Tbsp minced cucumber

1/2 tsp minced cilantro

1 1/2 Tbsp minced celery leaves

1/2 tsp minced shallots

6 oysters, shucked

Directions:

In a spouted container, whisk together v8, tequila, horseradish, celery salt, worcestershire, lemon juice, dijon, salt, and honey.

In a small bowl mix together minced cucumber, cilantro, celery leaves, and shallots.

Place oysters in 2 oz shot glasses.

Pour bloody mary mixture over top leaving a tiny bit of room at the top.

Place a spoonful of cucumber salad at the top of each glass.

Enjoy responsibly.
