easy dilled air fryer chicken

Air fried chicken, is seriously my favorite way to cook a whole chicken. It’s so easy. The clean up is minimal. It takes less time. The skin is crispy. The inside is (dare I say it?) moist.

This version is perfect for a last minute meal. No brining before hand. No crazy ingredients. You probably have most everything already on hand.

It’s seriously perfect.

Ingredients:

4 1/2 lb whole chicken, giblets removed

8 oz salted butter

1/2 lemon, halved again

1 head garlic, halved

2 bunches of dill, large stems removed

1/2 bunch of italian parsley

avocado oil spray

Directions:

Preheat air fryer to 360 degrees.

In a large microwave safe bowl, melt butter for 1 minute.

Add chicken to the bowl and toss to coat with butter.

Stuff the inside of the chicken with garlic, lemon, dill, and parsley, continuing to turn and coat with butter.

Spray air fryer with avocado oil.

Place chicken in, breast side down. Pour over any leftover butter.

Air fry for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, flip chicken over.

Air fry for 30 minutes.

Turn air fryer up to 375. Air fry for an additional 5 minutes.

Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before carving.
