out and about: zentrl kitchen + bar
mimosa
stone hazy ipa
While it’s nice to have a movie theater that serves good food less than 5 minutes away; it’s equally as nice to have that same restaurant stand alone when one isn’t in the mood for a movie.
Zentrl kitchen + bar is the stand alone front for the lot food service; but also a family favorite brunch spot. In fact it’s typically jamie’s first choice (when he’s given one).
ahi poke tacos: marinated yellowfin tuna, wonton shell, green onion, avocado, pickled red onion, furikake, cilantro, sriracha aioli
This is such a great starter bite. The ahi poke bowl has long been my go-to theater meal; and it’s fun to have the same componants reworked in a totally different way.
crunchy cashew salad: grilled chicken breast, hearts of romaine, cabbage, cucumber, mandarin oranges, carrots, green onions, thai peanut sauce, sesame vinaigrette | add avocado
This is prolly my favorite salad on the menu. But I? Am not a fan of cashews. And zentrl substitutes sunflower seeds for me. All the crunch, no nuts, and an umami bomb of extra flavor.
Also, pro tip: add the avocado.
zentrl 75: beefeater, peach schnapps, lemon, prosecco
I love this take on the french 75. The peach schnapps creates a bellini like spin on the traditional; and y’all know how well peach and prosecco match.
build your own omlette: choose your toppings: bell peppers, bacon, chorizo, cotija cheese, sausage, spinach, red onion, mushrooms, cheddar & jack cheese blend, tomato; served with english muffin and breakfast potatoes
This is jamie’s favorite breakfast item. And favorite omlette. His pro tip: build your own and add everything, get the green salsa on the side. Oh, and order it every single time you can.
the zunny burger: fried egg, bacon jam, hopscotch cheese, tomato, spicy mayo, butter lettuce
Holy runny yolk burger goodness. I don’t know about you, but there is something about a runny yolk on a burger that just does it for me. It’s such a good combo - even better when you add extra avocado to the burger. Because… socal.
Also, pro tip: upgrade the fries to truffle. You won’t regret it.
