socal style west virgina slaw dog
Move over chicago, the dodgers, new york… apparently west virginia has a hot dog style all of its own.
A bun slathered with mustard, and a layered dog topped with chili, and smothered in slaw.
So you know what your girls gonna do. She’s gonna take that new info, and spin it all up her own way.
We’re gonna skip the chili, been there done that, sub in grainy mustard for yellow, use wagyu beef hot dogs, and throw together a horseradish cream slaw, for even more depth of flavor.
Trust me, this is your new go-to dog.
Ingredients:
4 heaping Tbsp mayo
2 heaping Tbsp sour cream
3 heaping Tbsp horseradish
2 Tbsp rose vinegar
1 green onion, sliced
1/2 tsp salt
12 oz bag of coleslaw mix
wagyu hot dogs
grainy mustard
brioche split buns
Directions:
Whisk together mayo, sour cream, horseradish, vinegar, onion, and salt. Once combined stir in coleslaw mix, and set aside.
Barely slice through dogs, so they don’t explode, and grill on medium heat until warmed and slight grill marks appear.
Spread mustard along inside of buns. Place dogs on top of mustard, and smother with slaw.
